NOTICE OF FILING OF APPLICATION UNDER THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR’S PERMANENT LABOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

An application concerning the employment of one or more alien workers for the following permanent position will be filed with the Department of Labor (for non-schedule A positions) or with the Department of Homeland Security (for Schedule A positions).  This Notice of Filing will be posted for 10 consecutive business days, ending between 30 and 180 days before filing the permanent labor certification application.

POSITION TITLE:
Choir Director

POSITION DUTIES:
Lead the congregation into lively worship through song. Lead the Church’s music program, including planning and preparing music for worship services, preparing lessons and teaching musical theory, and recruiting new members of the congregation to join the Music Department. Direct, teach, provide music and lead the Choir during Church services and their weekly practice sessions. Direct the musical performances of the Choir. Study and develop musical parts of sermons for spiritual strength. Teach musical theory and Pentecostal doctrine to Choir and Praise and Worship teams. Prepare musical pieces for the Choir and Praise and Worship teams. Study Choir music to provide members of the Choir with insights on performing pieces. Lead the Choir during all church services. Recruit new members to join the Choir and Praise and Worship teams. Teach new Choir and Praise and Worship team members how to become active instrumental players and singers.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Music Education or a directly related field of study, and two (2) years of experience in the offered position or a related occupation.

RATE OF PAY:                 
$34,258 per year
The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor
